Hi All,
I am considering a system using Elk for Security/HVAC, etc. and Homeseer for the user interface.
I understand that Homeseer integrates with Elk through a plugin. My question is where are all the timer/triggers stored?
I would like a solution where i can control lights/audio/etc through my tv or remote but i don't want to be fully dependable on a Windows PC based solution.
Can timers/triggers be downloaded/uploaded to the Elk and can the elk then interface with lighting automation? I realize that the audio/video portion would not offline when the Windows machine is down, but i have to keep the lights working under any condition in order to keep the wife happy when i'm away on a business trip.
Any suggestions appreciated. I'm just getting started on defining the different components for the automation of a new home..
Does HomeSeer interface direction with IP based cameras through the LAN?
