Entry delay problem

I am having two problems that I need help with. I have an ELK M1G that a friend installed for me. I have programmed it through the XEP and all seems to be working as expected except for the following:

1) I have ENTRY1 and ENTRY2 Delay set to 060 yet upon opening a zone with this definition the alarm sounds immediately. I have checked the setting from the keypad to be sure and it shows 060 there as well. What am I missing?

2) Occasionally the XEP becomes inaccessible. I saw a post from IVB having a similar problem although I don't know if it is exactly the same. When the XEP becomes inaccassible from the web interface I can still PING it and ELKRP can "find" it but cannot connect to it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Allen

There is a Zone definition setting in the actual input point configuration. Set it to type 01 or 02 depending on entry exit 1 or 2.

If you have motions that pick you up when you come in they have to be set to "interior follower".

Make sure the XEP has the latest firmware...

Thanks but I have already done that and that is why I can't understand why it is not working correctly. Also, the XEP does have the very latest firmware.

1. Are you manually arming the system via keypad in "Away" mode? I think I have armed mine in instant - or "Stay" mode and had the same thing happen.

I have seen the issue. Power cycling restarts the Digi processor on the M1XEP and it will then reconnect. The issue appears to be generated from a network error. ELK is updating the Digi operating system for a new software release. I am banking on the issue will be resolved in the Digi operating system update.

Nope. I have stay instant but I am referring to no delay when I press EXIT to arm the system.

I noticed that my friend, who installed the system did not put the resistors on any of the contact runs. Could that cause this problem?

Thanks,
Allen
