I am certified electrician, had some experience with HA, maily X10 and want to open soon a website, dedicated to HA and filling the needs.

And for me, it's more a lack of time than money. I have plenty of HA goodies sitting in their boxes that I haven't had time to install.

One more for time to do things.

I think you will find that most people at CT are people who would prefer to do the work themselves; not to hire someone else to do it. I think time and money are the two biggest challenges for most users, with time being the bigger of the two.

I have 20 UPB switches that are still in the box! (along with plenty of other items that still need to be hooked up).
