HAI ZIM

I am trying to use the HAI ZIM to control Kwikset Zigbee locks. I am using a Startech Ethernet -> RS485 to be able to communicate with the ZIM. HAI has graciously provided me the pinout and the messaging format for the ZIM. What I don't have and cannot seem to locate on the HAI website is the serial communications format (e.g. baudrate, number of bits, parity, and stop bits). Anybody know this information?

Thx
Bryan

I don't know the settings, but it's probably pretty standard and should be easy to figure out with just a couple of combinations. Likely 7/E/1 or 8/N/1 and either 9600 or 19200 on the bps.

I have tried most every combination. It must be the formatting of the messages. Will have to call HAI Monday

Found this in the Omni-Link protocol reference:

Data is transmitted asynchronously using standard nonreturn-to-zero (NRZ) format (one start bit, eight data bits, and
a single stop bit) at up to 9600 baud.

It's not specific to the ZIM and it may only be applicable when an Omni/OmniPro port is set to Omni-Link mode, but it might be worth a shot.
