Here is a picture of the whole board. Looks like it has 5 serial ports.

Is their another way to identify what model?

Yea but there is a price difference between the two. To make my relative a fair offer I need to know which...hmmm

I am hoping the HAI engineer might pop in and answer the question. Private messaged him earlier today.

It looks like it has the flash upgradeable firmware, so its a more recent board.

Look here: http://www.cocoontech.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=17369

I think its a recent Omni II

Bal - your board has a different chip in the #6 socket than what is on that IIe. That makes me think it is an OmniPro II board because of the added memory.

Unfortunately you can't use the pics in the catalog from HAI as they use the same picture for the Pro II and IIe.

It's just odd that the reference for the part number doesn't come up anywhere. Possibly that was in some type of kit, thus the reason for the unknown product ID.

I looked too for a reference on the HAI site and found none.

As an FYI though I updated my OPII to the newest with upgradable FW and it works great. I currently have 4 of the 5 serial ports populated.

It wasn't difficult to update. I'm still using the older legacy OPII in FL and it continues also to function great.

The MFG price, wholesale price, street price are all going to be different. How fair are you looking to be on your offer?

The boards are built well and built to last. Only a rep from MFG will be able to tell you for sure what it is though I am guessing....they can look up the serial number for you too.

Well I emailed HAI directly and Chris was a huge help. He directed me to the bottom right corner of the board that has the serial number and specific model number.

After I got him that information he let me know the following:

"You have a 4 layer pro2 board with a built in flash drive, you can update the firmware of the panel via pc-access 2.16 or higher instead of replacing firmware chips"

So with that settled, I just need to plan what else I need with the board. But thats a seperate message!

The board could be an Omni IIe/Lumina or an OmniPro II/Lumina Pro. It is a newer board equipped with flash memory.

How to tell? There are different memory chips between and firmware between the various models. The exact memory part numbers may vary depending on which supplier was used for a particular production run but all boards are marked after passing the factory testing.

Looking at the board with the serial ports at the top left and the zone connectors at the bottom there should be a hand written number in a white square located along the right edge of the board usually between the two rows of the zone connectors. If the number is a 31, this indicates that the board is either an OmniPro II/Lumina Pro. If the number is 32 then the board is an Omni IIe/Lumina. For Lumina and Lumina Pro boards the word "Lumina" is written in one of 2 places. For earlier boards it was written near the 31/32, usually just above the upper zone connector. For more recent boards "Lumina" is written on a sticker and placed on the U11 chip.

If you can power up the system and have a console hooked up you can go to Setup > Misc (9 > 6) and it will display the model and firmware revision.

Looking at the picture it looks like a 31 and I don't see the word Lumina so I believe theis is an OmniPro II.
