Yes I have my license. I have not tried to exercise it and likely will not in the near future as I do not have anyting I want to do with it yet.
Just got an e-mail from HST, it will be $189.95 if you want to upgrade from Homeseer 1.x
It's from HS1 (v1.x) to HSPRO. http://store.homeseer.com/store/X-P757C5.aspxIs that to upgrade from HS 1.x to regular HS 2.x or from HS 1.x to HS 2 Pro?
Any expiration date? It's from HS1 (v1.x) to HSPRO. http://store.homeseer.com/store/X-P757C5.aspxIs that to upgrade from HS 1.x to regular HS 2.x or from HS 1.x to HS 2 Pro?
plunge taken... hope that HSTouch on iPhone works out well...
The v1.x promo expires on 9/21. Yes, the software does need to be activated. Activation can be done online or you can contact us by phone for offline activation.Any expiration date?
Does HS2/HSPRO "phone home" to authenticate? What happens if that process fails?
So activation is a one time process? Does HS2/HSPRO ever "phone home" to authenticate after that? What happens if the authentication fails? The v1.x promo expires on 9/21. You simply put in a help desk ticket to get your license reset. So activation is a one time process? Does HS2/HSPRO ever "phone home" to authenticate after that? Wayne - The activation occurs once. After that, authentication only occurs when you access the updater. If authentication fails, the software is put into a 30 day trial mode... which should allow plenty of time to reset the license. So activation is a one time process? - What happens if the authentication fails and you cannot wait for the help desk?
Terry - The problems you're having are likely due to a version change (2.2.0.66 vs 2.3.x) rather than a product change (HS2 vs HSPRO). Rich responded directly to your thread on our message board here: http://board.homeseer.com/showpost.php?p=8...amp;postcount=6Yep it sure is a sweet deal![]()
1 word of warning, you may want to TRY the 30 day trial before passing the cash over... I am in the process of trying to return back to my old HS as hspro has broken a lot of the stuff I use.
I thought Pro would have been the same but "better" but it has "features" that have caused more grief for me, the system before pro was pretty good, uptimes of 45 days and 95% working, now its like 50% working and rebooting everyday.
