OmniProII how to controll a scroll wheel (wireless)

Hi,
I have an OmniProII up and running.
I can currently control the temperature of 4 rooms and their radiators.

Now I would like to control a rolling shutter.

Could you please explain to me what I need.
The shutter is far away so I can not wire the connection but I will need some wireless device.

I read that on the omnipro2 I can install a wireless receiver (45A00-1 or 42A00-1) , but I think I need a transmitter to control a remote device. (?)
And so on the shutter i think I need a receiver...

Is that correct?
Can you sugest me some device?

thanks AL

Could you describe what the rolling shutter is and what it does?

Is it one of the electric roll up shutters on the window?

The HAI wireless receiver only receives inputs from sensors, no wireless control out.

(Sorry for the delay but my account was broken).

Thanks for the answer,
yes it is the roll up shutters on the window, it has an electric motor and it works with two switch (up/down).

I would like control some kind of device to open / close the circuit.
The only problem is that I can no wiring between the shutter and OmniProII.

If you can use UPB for lighting/device control, then you could probably use the Simply Automated UMI-32-W IO module. It has two outputs that can be controlled via UPB powerline commands so you could plug it in at the shutters and wire in the control lines.

I said "if you can use UPB", because this is a N. America 60Hz only product.

Check out this thread for a wireless relay device - you'd hook the transmitter into your OP similar to what I believe Lou did; and hook the relay board outputs to the up/down buttons on the shade controller.

@JonW: unfortunately I cannot use UPB devices, i'm in italy and it probably doesn't work.
@Work2Play: I was hoping to find something less homemade...

In the meantime I did some further research, what do you think about some x10 device? The OmniProII supports an external x10 transceiver module...
But I don't know nothing about x10 technology....

thanks
Al.

X10 shut their doors... though you can still easily get X10 products, there's a reason the world has moved on. X10 was a great start though.

UPB does come in different voltages - it might be an option in the 220V/50hz range -

If you want to post specifics on your exact drapery control/motor we might be able to help you find something compatible...

Check out Z-Wave - it should be available there... it's a radio technology, not powerline... and they do make z-wave drapery controls.

I have been using x10 for many years. I have always found it to be much more reliable in small installations so it may be an option for your situation.
I am almost done switching my house over to UPB. I have 3 x10 devices left to switch over. My parents house is only X-10 though. They have 13 x10 pro outlets outside each on a dedicated 20amp breaker and 9 lamp/appliance modules to control Christmas lights. Even with a signal booster and phase coupler you still have to turn the dryer on ever once in a while to get some of the outlets to turn off.
