Omnistat2 - Can no longer access setup

Hi,

Just got an Omnistat2 to try out (single stage version). Powered it up and it was working ok. Went into the Setup menus and examined the various settings. Did something and now can no longer access the Setup menu. Can still set heat/cool temp. Can press dial to bring up the Main Menu - it only shows Setup and Runtime-Graph. Can select and display graph. Trying to select Setup and nothing happens (other then the highlight going away and both up and down arrows display). Cant do a factory reset since I cant get to setup.

Any other way to do a factory reset, such as holding down some button during power up?

Please help or my brand new 'stat is trash!

Thanks much!

Isn't there an option that prevents "local" changes? Maybe you activated that option. I don't know the exact steps but there should be something in the manual about it.

There is a jumper on the back to disable the front of the stat, maybe it got moved or knocked loose?

There is a bug in the initial release RC1000 firmware where if you turn off internal programming (which I believe you did) you can no longer access setup. Unfortunately there is no backdoor way to reset the thermostat to factory defaults when you cannot access setup. Send the thermostat back to HAI and they will update the thermostat to the latest RC1000 firmware.

By "internal programming" are you referring to the scheduling feature where you set times for temp changes? I did indeed set the 'stat to be "non-programmable".

So off it goes.

Thanks.

Yes I did mean the setting to turn off programming (thus making it non-programmable). If you did not turn off programming, your first option in the menu would be "Program" and not "Setup".
