Power Hub 83A00

I would like to verify that the 83A00 Power Hub is an additional power supply that you need if you have lots of devices?

The Power Hub does not replace the need for a separate power supply to power the OmniPro II controller. Is this correct?

If you're wondering I have an x-10 controller which is failing. I'm looking to upgrade to an OmniPro II and slowly expand and upgrade the system. First will be the x-10 lights and some security.

Yes, the 83A00 is for if you have a lot of devices that would normally be powered off of the console bus, like keypads and 5.7 (not 5.7e) touchscreens. You don't need it for a basic system.

The Omni and Lumina controllers take a 24V, wall-wart type of power supply. It's a separate item, but a lot of the vendor package deals include it. If you're buying a la carte, you'll also want to make sure you get a battery, which is also usually included in the package deals.
