Russound Cav6.6 audio sources

So after a long discussion with a newbie tech I decided to buy a CAV6.6 system which by his explanations would allow me to play music/watch video in multiple zones (5 zones) of my house. Per technician's advice I purchased the following;

1 Rusound CAV 6.6 system
5 UNO2 kepads
1 Russound iBridge bay (for my existing mac mini computer)

Hardware installation went fine, and I can enjoy the music in the entire house without a glitch (well, a 2 week project that's all), however I am stuck to listening to one source. I connected everything properly (I think). Got the mac computer connected to the Russound system. Everything is nice, but when I change the playlist in one zone, it affects other zones. Did I do something wrong? Did I get a bad piece of advice from someone who doesn't know much about this? I didn't even get to the video part, and I'm already in trouble.

I wish I could pay someone to get this figured out, but it was tough to get enough money to get the whole deal ordered. Keep in mind that I installed everything myself with an occasional help of a cousin who is into construction (yes everything looks much better after a pro takes care of holes in walls).

How do I work around my problem? Do I need to buy more than one computer and more than one iBridge bay? There are three members of my household, myself, wifey, son... we each have a playlist we'd like to listen to on our time in the zones that I created. Please help! :)

I'm no expert on Russound, but the way I understand it, the iBridge is considered "one" source. You can connect up to 6 sources to the CAV, but each source can only provide audio one source at a time. In other words, unless the iBridge prodives multiple audio outputs, so that you could hook it up to more than one zone, AND it has the capability to provide multi-playlist playback (neither of which I believe it can), you will be stuck listening to the same playlist on all zones. What you can do, is hook up another audio source, such as an AM/FM tuner, to one of the other source inputs. That way, you could listen to the Mac Mini in one room, and the tuner in another room. The multi-source switchin is between the zones and controlled on the CAV, not the iBridge. I believe that the iBridge just acts as 1 audio source.

You are correct. In order to hear more sources (the iBridge is one) then you'll need to connect them. You have one device feeding the source one input and that's all you're gonna get. If you want a media server with multiple outputs (which will need to be wired to the CAV's inputs) you can look at the SMS or purchase addt'l iBridges, CD players, what have you...

Ok, thanks for your answers. I'm going to see what my budget allows and perhaps seek some advice on what to do next.
