Trouble fitting M1KPAS into Decora (Leviton) plate

Anyone else have trouble fitting the M1KPAS into a decora wall plate? The M1KPAS is a little wider than the plates I have (Leviton).

I added a LV ring onto my existing dual-gang jbox with a 3-gang wall plate with only 1 issue - I had to shave something down, but can't remember what it was (probably the ring because of the width of the KPAS). However, the wall plate was a non-issue.

I had to cut the ears of the KPAS on the last one I did, but that was a metal GFI plate on a 4" square box.

What is strange, is that I went to Home Depot and purchased another Leviton Decora plate that had less than 1/32" wider opening and all is well.

Might be a manufacturing tolerance on the KPAS or plate.
