UPB PIM pinout info needed

I am trying to build a custom cable for my serial UPB interface (for use with the Elk M1), but the standard 3 pins don't seem to do the trick. Whenever I use that setup, I can hear the UPB PIM buzz 3 times for each command, and also see the light blink 3 times. This does not happen with the regular serial cable, so I assume I must be missing some pins. Has anyone tried building a custom cable yet?

This is the pinout I use for my HAI UPB PIM. I think they should all use the same configuration.

PIM RJ-25 DB-9 (connected as DTE)

1 DTR 4 DTR

2 TX 2 RX

3 RX 3 TX

5 GND 5 GND

I found the docs on the PCS site which shows the following config:

2->2 (RD)
3->3 (TD)
4->4 (DTR)
5->5 (ground)

Seems to work so far.
