What appliances do you monitor

It's a regular door magnet, but my dryer is 10 years old or so, maybe it's slower than newer models. Maybe you could swap out the magnet itself with a rare earth magnet?

These are the ones I have below. My guess is you are using the non-concealed door magnets. I'll try to get a rare earth magnet and see if that makes this contact any more sensitive. Thanks for the information.

I watch my furnace fan using a current sensor and logging the number of minutes each month that the fan (and thus furnace) is on by day/week/month. Lucky for me the furnace is about 5 feet away from my HA stuff so the total install time was about 30 minutes...it doesn't always work out like that...

What current sensor do you use?
