What is this thing for in my old ADT panel?

The wires weren't labeled. Some went to the keypad terminals on the main board, but the ones labeled RS422 go out somewhere in the house and had nothing on them. I have already accounted for the keypads and wireless. It appears to be an Ademco system.

It looks like it's related to their ihub/Pulse system - where do the wires go?  With iHub it looks like the wires would go to another device (HSPIM) which would then plug into your router.

No idea where the wires go.  I will get out the toner and try to track them down.  There are wires everywhere in this house.  There is wiring for a defunct intercom system, a door phone, 8 phone lines, alarm, and who knows what else.  It was all done in 1995, so a lot of it is dated, but all of the phone wiring is Cat5.

While you were typing your response, I was probably reading this:

I'm assuming the iHub connects to the internet, and then it connects to the panel via RS422 through this thing in the photo I posted above.  I ripped it out anyway, putting in my Elk tonight after the kids go to bed.

That is an Ihub.

Part of the Pulse setup....which has only been on the market within the last 4 years. Proprietary garbage.
