X10, Mochad, USB Wheezy and Jessie and Ubuntu 14.04 and Ubuntu 16.04

No changes were done to the core Homeseer 3 relating to using Mochad.
 
Original X10 plugin was a quick port over from legacy Homeseer 2 plugin.  Mark (mentioned above) rewrote the plugin and it is now working better than it did in the HS2 days.  (IE: last X10 plugin for HS2 while it worked had issues which you could see using a serial sniffer).
 
Only changes that I see here (well and I do not have a CM15A) is relative to Debian (IE: Wheezy to Jessie to Stretch and Ubuntu 14.04 to 16.04).
 
Your Mochad version is 6 years old and the one utilized by Homeseer 3 is probably around 10 or more years old.

 
I actually can't recall the changes any more. I know I added IPv6, I may have fixed a few warnings but if anyone finds issues I can update as necessary.
 
I hope I still have my notes on the CM15A. There are a lot of features that we figured out (or mostly figured out) that X10 failed to share with us. All pertaining to the wireless portion of X10.

Neil, as previously mentioned I'm using your 0.1.17 version of Mochad I built myself from GitHub. Homeseer's version was a little suspect so I cleared out their version from my install and installed your version. I was having terrible trouble with Mochad hanging but discovered the problem was caused by an MS13E sensor. I disabled the sensor and Mochad 0.1.17 has been rock solid for the last couple of months.

Mark at HomeSeer asked me to keep a close eye on it as he intended to utilise it in the CM15 x10 plugin.

I didn't bother to update to Mochad 0.1.18 because as you say it's just an update to include support for IPV6 tables and a few other bits and pieces.

Once again thanks for the work. X10 in HomeSeer Raspberry Pi is working a treat as a result of it.

Such a pity HomeSeer do not officially support x10 any longer.

In retrospect then are we in agreement to using V.17 or V.18 for the included in Homeseer Mochad for the future?

Either either really. The fact is the CM15 is now a usable x10 controller for the Raspberry Pi as a result of Mochad. In HomeSeer on a Raspberry Pi with the relevant mods to the Systemd it allows the CM15 to operate as it should. Maybe x10 users will think twice before retiring their tried and tested equipment.
