Watch out for overload on the UPB switches. They will fry before a 15A circuit breaker trips. I had someone plug a heater into a UPB controlled wall outlet and the switch started cooking and it failed in the closed position...would not turn off at the switch. Had to unplug the heater. Just...
Just discovered it Fri night. Will touch base with HAI on Monday. Thought I might check here to see what people might say while I am waiting to check with HAI.
One of my HAI RC-2000 thermostats has gone bad. Display looks OK but it will not activate my HVAC. I swaped it our with another RC-2000 and the HVAC runs OK so I know it is the thermostat. Had a bad storm come thru with lots of lightning so it is possible that caused the problem.
Is there is...
My OPII has been working fine for over a year but it suddenly will not talk to my network. It still works just fine otherwise. I checked the IP address via the console and everything still looks OK. Red LED's on main board appear to indicate everything is OK. I have swapped out LAN cables...
You need FLAGS as triggers and a bunch of individual commands that trigger when the FLAG is ON/OFF or time expires. Need to break kout those events into individual commands. Examples....
WHEN FLAG 1 on, THEN Expresso ON for 1 second
When Expresso OFF,
THEN FLAG 1 OFF
THEN FLAG 5 ON

I have mine connected to relays on my Omni Pro II but I included a Zap Control in the circuit to help protect against a lightning surge. I know that nothing will help when you get a direct hit from lightning but it is better than nothing.
Just started rolling out the Smart meters in my area od Oklahoma. The elec company would only allow zigbee thermostats that they provided....non HAI. Since there is some set up associated with the installation, I would suspect that your elec company is doing the same thing.
I would have no problem hacking the switches I have today but size is not an issue and I would need to buy more for my gates anyway so I will probably go with a NX-650 since they are ready made for connecting an external switch.
pete & Rupp.....Using a micro switch as noted in this link is along the same line I was thinking. Would need to wire it to a wireless transmitter. Not sure if Pets's suggestion on the DS10A will work or not. From what I understand, the DS10A does not transmit a normal X10 RF house/unit...
I have 2 metal gates with a deadbolt to secure them. Looking for a way to monitor the deadbolt position so I can verify the gate is actually locked. No viable way to run wire to them so I need a wireless solution. I currently have a Omni Pro II with a GE wireless receiver as well as an X-10...
As the OP here, I thought I would bring you up to date on how my situation turned out. Although everyyone in my service area will get a smart meter, I was unable to sign up for the study they were conducting during the start up perior. To sign up, you are required to let the elec company...
Steve... If you do use a 2WTA-B in lieu of the HAI approved 2WT-B and wire it per HAI installation diagram, I do not think any 2WTA-B sounder will sound off because it needs power for the sounder and the only way to get that power is via a reversing module. The Omni does not provide that power...
