Connecting 4530EX to M1G

I'm having trouble figuring out how to connect an Uplink 4530EX to my M1G for cellular reporting.

Is it as simple as moving the phone jack from POTS to the 4530EX? This didn't seem to work, and it's not clear from the manual if I need to connect the yellow and black wires to OUT3 on M1G to signal an alarm.

If the connection is just the phone jack (from R1, T1, RING, TIP), what configuration should I ask for on the Uplink to support this?

Bonus question. If I want to use the 4530EX output to trigger loss of cellular service, do I wire this into a zone on the M1G?

Thank you for the help

You need a RJ31X cord to the M1. That's cut and dry.

The cord plugs into the 4530EX AS-IS.

You will need 2 additional pairs. 1 is 12VDC from a suitable supply with enough headroom, battery backed up. The second is you need to provide a pair from OUT 1 on the 4350EX to the M1 to report trouble conditions to the panel and notify the end user (you). That is connected to a panel zone and defined by you via known ZT's or as other operation, such as controlled via rules.

Uplink has nothing to do with this. Not their configuration issue. Their unit is pretty much plug and play as far as the host panel is.

Thanks DEL. I'll check this tomorrow. I had the RD31X connected for telephone reporting, but it wasn't working right through the Uplink. Reading the install doc again, it sounds like the the 4530EX simply recieves the call and report, then retransmits. So this all makes sense.
