DS Lite as Home Automation Controller

Does anyone else think the DS Lite would make the perfect HA controller? The question is how is the best way to interface it to the system? A custom homebrew program or via the opera browser thats coming out?

You know... the Nintendo DS lite. Meant as a portable gaming console, but with built in wifi and two touch screens, seems perfect as a home automation controller.

What are the available development tools? If not, have anybody installed Linux on it? I mean, the hardware might be great but without development tools you can't do much.

Well there is already an app that someone wrote to remote control a windows pc.

Also opera is releasing a browser cartridge soon so any web based controls should be able to take advantage of that.

And with retail price of a DS lite at $130 it seems hard to beat. I'll definitely be getting one to use as a HA remote.

If the DS's browser will run Java Applets, you can access the webpage on theM1's M1XEP Ethernet Module directly.
