HAI Omnipro II to Belkin Router network timeout issue

Hello,

I replaced my Linksys modem/router with a Belkin F9J1004v1 modem/router. The HAI Omnipro connection to router now fails.
The router is DHCP enabled with range of IPs 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.100 with default gateway 192.168.1.1, Subnet mask is 255.255.255.0.
Omnipro II runs the static IP 192.168.1.101 on port 4369

Virtual server (on router) is set to forward the IP 192.168.1.101 for port 4369 on TCP and UDP.

The router end of the network cable shows blinking green light whereas the cable end on the Omnipro II shows red light. Tried a different cable and same issue. Same cables when connected to a laptop with a static ip connects without issue on the same port on the router. So, the router ports and cables seem to be ok.

Pinging Omnipro IP address from a laptop gives timeout error, while rarely a one line reply is received from Omnipro IP with 900ms reponse time, but most of the time it is timeout.

Hence the Snaplink does not work and shows timeout. The IP address and encryption code on both ends match.

Could anyone help.

Welcome to Cocoontech Vijay.

Guessing the older router worked fine.

Let's check the transport from the OmniPro II to your laptop another way.

Take you old Linksys router and plug a network cable to one port (not wan port).

Shut off the DHCP on your laptop and configure it with a static IP; say 192.168.1.102.

If you have any AV / antimalware software on the laptop shut it off for a bit.

Power off your OmniPro 2 (transformer and battery) and power it on.

Double check the IP/port you configured on the OmniPro 2 with a keypad.

With one cable from the OmniPro to the old router and nothing else the port on the OmniPro should be blinking.

It should blink no matter what the IP configured is.

If it doesn't blink you may have a hardware issue.  (IE port on the OmiPro or cable).  Stop here if it is not blinking.

Post your results after this piece.

- HAI Panel blinking - yes or no?

Most likely if the NIC port is not blinking then you will not be able to test the next step.  Make sure you have the cabled plugged in well and that it is in correct port.  It sort of snaps in place and is sometimes a bit difficult to remove. On an old board the network port is the 4th one over from the left and new one it is the 6th one from the left.

Try to ping the OmniPro panel IP of 192.168.1.101.    Run Snaplink and see if it connects.

Post your results here.

- is Ping working to 192.168.1.101 - yes or no?
