Electron,
Yes under all of the uppers there are single tube fluorescent fixtures.
If I was to do them again I think I would go with the tube lights or the little halogen pucks.
You can't see the lights in the pics as they are valanced with pine to match the cupboards.
The pics don't show all the features but big WAF for :
- lazy susan in the corner
- heavy duty 150 lb rollout full extension pot and pan drawers
- a slotted cupboard for trays and waxed paper and such
- roll outs on the bottoms of some cupboards for bread machine, meat slicer, etc
- roll outs under the sink for bottles, jugs, etc
- wall left of fridge is a giant pantry with about 4000 shelves in it
The original counter tops were ceramic tile 1" squares (black and white) with about 1.5 inches of cement underneath the tiles and the old fashioned metal banding for a counter edge.
I bet I took easily 600 lbs of cement and wire mesh and tiles to the dump.
If you set an egg on the old counter it would roll to the sink and then hit the floor EVERY time !
Only job left for me to do is ceramic floor tiles (maybe next winter).
