Lumina pro and Nuvo Tuner

I'm upgrading from a Cortexa to a Lumina Pro. I have my Nuvo Essentia amp up and running. I'm controlling my system with Haiku and iPhone/iPads. Can I also control my Nuvo dual fm tuner using this setup? Do I need to connect the serial port on the tuner to the lumina?
