Nuvo Music Port MPS4

Looks like I am RMA'ing my MPS4 to Automated Outlet. Neurorad, I mentioned to them that I "knew of someone on the forums" who had used his similar episode to upgrade to the Elite. Ha - she rememebrs! Also rememebred that you had the additonal problem after that.

I don't think I need the additional storage capacity and network streaming, so I didn't do it. ($600-700 more is quite a hit, too)

I've exchanged many phone calls and emails with Janice, over the past few years. She's very patient with me. ;)

I need to spend more money at AO. Very good support.

I began a 30 day trial of Spotify on my MPS4-E yesterday. I have just created a playlist thus far. I'm happy to answer questions.

One of my KPs stopped working, dead, this morning.

I cycled power to the GC and MPS4 a few times, then I updated MPS4 FW, and then downloaded the newest version of the Configurator SW (2.66p), loaded it to the GC, and nothing. KP still wouldn't work.

So, I unplugged the KP and plugged it back in, and it instantly worked. I think I'll try that first next time.

I researched last.fm a little, and it seems to me that's it doesn't have much benefit, for me. Looks like it tracks your listening habits, and shares it with your friends, and offers stations similar to Pandora (Radiohead Radio). I removed last.fm from the iOS app.

Eager to read of Spotify functionality, with the KPs.

I had hoped Spotify would allow me to select/search for an artist and add individual songs to the queue/playlist like the windows app, but no deal. You can build your playlists on the computer and they show up on your Music Port.

You can enter any search term via the iPhone app and it will deliver the results from which you can choose one or all songs/albums. I searched Alternative and was delivered a list of 4000 songs with alternative in the name of the song/album/genre.

You can click on a song and then add the entire album to the queue; you can select individual songs from the queue; you can shuffle and/or erase the queue. You can create a Pandora station just as now.

One cool feature are the apps on Spotify, like Rolling Stone. There are playlists created you can subscribe to to check out new music, or an artist's picks for example.

It's great to be able to put the songs on your iPhone for offline listening.

Keypad functionality is similar to what you can do with Pandora: create a station; delete queue; select a song from queue, etc.

I received my replacement MPS4 from AutomatedOutlet.

Everything is working fine again.

In the configurator, I have noticed that most sources are not listed correctly. I.E., I will pick MPS4-A from the list, the list then shows "UNKNOWN" for the source type. But the GC still seems to work fine.

Weird. (this not a new phenomenon, has been like this for at least a year)

My MPS4 has recently stopped playing Sirius XM. Just stopped. You can select it, and it acts like nothing happened.

Reboots, resets, etc.. have solved nothing.

Anyone have anything similar with theirs?

Swancoat, have you tried an MPS4 FW reset?

So, I randomly just 'try' an Sirius station to see if it's ever going to work, and all of a sudden, it just works yesterday. No reboot or anything between the last time it DIDN'T work. I spent days trying to get it to work, and now it just 'does'.

I suspect it may have been on XMSirius' end. A few weeks earlier, I was getting stoppages in play with the GC at least reporting the error from Sirius, which was that my account was in use already (which it wasn't...).

Anyway, running now...
