I ran CAT-5 cables to my keypads. The cables have 4 pairs - orange / orange-white, blue / blue-white, green / green-white and brown / brown-white.
When I connect up to the 485 bus, do which wires should I use -
For example I think there are 2 choices:
Red (+) to Orange
Black (-) to Brown
Green to Green
White to Blue
OR
Red (+) to Orange
Black (-) to Orange / White
Green to Green
White to Green / White
The second case using only 2 of the twisted pairs.
