A few quick questions:

1) If I purcahse PC Access today (2.16 maybe?) will an upgrade be avialable for 3.0?
2) Does PC Access have the ability to update the firmware in a OIIe or OPII?
3) After flash upgrading a OIIe or OPII will all the settings be retained or does it have to be reconfigured?
4) Are any integrateion updates for the OIIe planned for 3.0? Or will that only be OPII still?

Thanks!

1.) Yes. It is available through a download.
2.) Yes, you can upgrade both IIe's and ProII's. You can't upgrade FROM an OIIe to a OPII.
3.) Yes. But I would always advise having a PCAccess file as a backup.
4.) What type of integrations are you talking about?

Thanks for the answers.

I was referring to the ability that the OPII has to work with your 3rd party partners out of the box. Such as other WHA products, etc.

Thanks!

The IIe can only connect to a HAI HiFi system for audio, so it won't be getting any new support for any new Audio Systems in 3.0. It supports all the lighting controls that the ProII does, and as far as other integration partners, it still has the same protocols (OmniLink, OmniLink2, ProLink) for communicating with it, so other apps and such should work fine.

Excellent!!
However, I did notice that the update function within PC Access is still not showing a new update (I am running 2.16). Anything else I need to do?

Can someone please be so kind to post some screenshots of the Access software, I would love to see how one creates rules, and what kind of options it shows. Thanks!

I downloaded the 3.0 dealer sw update and installed it, but when i attempt to start it up, i am prompted for a password (i didn't have a password set on my previous installation). it won't let me leave it blank. what am i doing wrong?

Default password should be 'password'

Dan,

I'm currently at CES. As soon as I get back, I'll see what I can do for you, if no one else has by then.

I Managed to upgrade PC Access software to 3.0. Things look cool. One thing i noticed is that if you already had the old PC Access installed (2.16 in my case) The first time I brought up PC Access 3.0 the old password for 2.16 worked. The second time I brought it up I could not get the password to work. So I re-installed and changed the password to something new and it worked afterwords.

I do have a question. I noticed that PC Access downlaod several new firmware upgrades. I have an OmniPro II and there seems to be several versions:

HAI_OmniPro_II_Version_3.0_(English).cff
HAI_OmniPro_II_Version_3.0x6_(English).cff
HAI_OmniPro_II_Version_3.0x7_(English).cff
HAI_OmniPro_II_Version_3.0x8_(English).cff
HAI_OmniPro_II_Version_3.0x9_(English).cff
HAI_OmniPro_II_Version_3.0x10_(English).cff

Which one is the latest and which one should I install on my OmniPro_II

HAI_OmniPro_II_Version_3.0_(English).cff is the version you should be using. The versions with the "x" in them should not be used and should be deleted.

So it seems those of us with the older panels will need to order a new firmware chip to get to the 3.0 firmware level.

Does that mean we will always need to purchase new firmware chips at each upgrade? I'm guessing flash circuitry is't really a field-upgrade....
