Mounting HAI/Leviton expansion boards

I am looking to add two 16 zone expanders, notifier board,  and possibly a serial expander board to my Omni Pro.   However, the instructions show that all 4 of these will mount in the same place-- and possibly connecting to the same connector.   Does anyone have experience mounting all 4 of these in the same system?

The hardwire expanders piggy back fine in a standard depth (3 1/2") enclosure.
The ribbon cables daisy chain and offset - you have to set the address on the second board and the docs are woefully incomplete discussing how to add the second board.  Just make sure you don't offset a column of pins on either cable - the board will start up but you'll get a ton of zone not ready errors.

The e-mail board will also piggy back on top of the stacked hardwire expanders but the result is too tall for the standard enclosure.
Leviton makes an expansion ring/door for their enclosures that will provide enough depth or you can do what I did and mount the e-mail board remotely on one of their Telco board brackets.
The e-mail board doesn't use the ribbon cable, just a standard serial cable to the main board plus a LAN cable to the router/switch.

I can't cut and paste links from this computer, but if you search for "notifier board" you'll see the main thread on it and my post #71 on page 5.

Can't tell you about the serial expander, but I suspect two stacked boards is the maximum in a standard enclosure - plus the serial board only adds a single port and the main board already has 5.

I,ve never heard of a serial port expander. Do you have a part number for that? Does connect to the zone expander bus?

Wow, good to know but $233 on Amazon. A rather expensive serial port, and only one extra one at that.
