Hi -
I need to hire someone to help complete an install. Can someone help me find the right person?
I just sold my house in Half Moon Bay, CA, to someone who is moderately technical. I built the house a little over 10 years ago; it had x-10 switches and an HAI OmniPro II plus two expansion cabinets.
I replaced all the switches with UPB; that's all working beautifully. So the lights are all fine / working with their own management system, and are not an urgent thing to address.
I had the OmniPro II boards replaced; the wiring was theoretically done exactly the same so the window and door locations should be still good, but the person doing the install knew nothing about the system so he can't do any configuration at all. I imported the definitions and programming from the old system but didn't have time to figure out how to complete the config, and to tie the old def's to the new brain.
I no longer live in the area. While I am relatively technical it will be impossible for me to address this from 10 hours away with no manual and no physical access to the site.
Is there someone I can hire to finish the basic configuration of the system - it's asking for a code to disarm the system on the basic panel, asking for a controller address, port, encryption keys. I don't have the manual with me, as noted above. Just need the basics done - complete the base configuration, get it to stop continually beeping when it's on, get the doors and windows to line up with their descriptions. The new owner may then wish to go further with the work.
I've posed the question at Leviton also.
Hometech in Cupertino is closed :-(
Thanks, all!
