My take on this has been -- locks are for honest people!
It's pretty easy to "bump" the locks I have, or pick them, jimmy them, or otherwise force the door.
The person mostly being inconvenienced by the lock is ME when it's dark & rainy!
I thought for this reason I would try automating it.
Knock on wood, the backup (the Omni security alarm) has been working great lately!
If the alarm is tripped, I get a text in less than 10 seconds!
The door this will be on has both a door sensor, and a motion sensor in the door hallway. Double monitored!
